- West, Nathanel (Weinstein, Nathan)
- (1903-40)American writer. Born in New York, he studied at Tufts University and later at Brown University. He then went to Paris, and returned to New York where he worked as an assistant manager in various hotels. His works include The Day of the Locust and Miss Lonelyhearts.
